I have loved Ashton Memorial ever since I used to visit Williamson Park on trips to Lancaster as a child. So ever since Rachael and Reuben told us they were getting married at Ashton Memorial and booked us to photograph their wedding, I have been sharing their excitement about their choice of venue.
It was a perfect autumnal day for their wedding – crisp and bright. We arrived nice and early at Williamson Park so we could capture some photographs of the inside of Ashton Memorial before anyone arrived.
Then the wedding guests started to arrive. Reuben looked happy and relaxed as he sat with his best men before the ceremony.
Rachael and her dad arrived in a stunning open-top vintage Bentley.
Rachael’s bridemaid and flower girl both looked great.
And Rachael looked simply stunning as she walked into Ashton Memorial on her proud father’s arm.
The ceremony was really lovely and the gorgeous setting made it even more special.
After Rachael and Reuben were officially ‘Mr and Mrs’, the guests were served champagne while we went for a brief wander outside with the newlyweds to capture some images of the two of them against the backdrop of the building.
Rachael’s dress, shoes and flowers were gorgeous.
Back inside, Rachael and Reuben joined their guests in drinking a glass of bubbly.
Their wedding reception was being held at Bartle Hall in Preston and so, after the drinks reception, Rachael and Reuben got into their fantastic wedding car and travelled there.
The wedding reception was held in the Balmoral Suite at Bartle Hall.
The grounds and surrounding woodland at Bartle Hall are lovely and so we enjoyed a little walk with Rachael and Reuben and captured some more photographs of the two of them.
Rachael and her bridesmaid Anna have been best friends since they were at primary school.
The beautiful autumnal theme for the wedding was carried through to the lovely table decorations.
Great speeches were given.
Between the meal and evening celebrations, Reuben’s best men hosted a quiz which was a brilliant idea and kept everyone entertained. They also got very attached to the microphone.
Rachael and Reuben’s first dance was very romantic.
We loved being part of this wedding and were so pleased when we got a message from Rachael and Reuben saying ”Thank you so much for the lovely photos. We couldn’t be happier with them!”
