We woke on the morning of Lisa and Jonny’s big day to heavy rain and so prepared for a wet wedding. But by the time we got to the church the sun had come out and, whilst the weather remained mixed all day, the sun seemed to come out for every part of the day where the wedding party were outside. So our wedding umbrellas got to stay in the car!
Lisa and Jonny got married at the very pretty St Mary Magdalene Church in Hadnall, Shropshire. We knew the church held a special place in Lisa’s heart and so we arrived before the groom and guests so we could capture some of its lovely details.
Then the wedding guests started to arrive.
Including the groom Jonny who looked very smart.
They headed inside the country church to await the bride’s arrival.
Once the guests had been seated, Lisa arrived in a gorgeous vintage Rolls Royce and headed up the aisle on her proud father’s arm to her groom.
Neither could keep the smiles off their faces as they came back down the aisle as Mr and Mrs and mingled with their guests in the church grounds.
Lisa and Jonny followed their wedding ceremony with a reception at Goldstone Hall Country House.
While the guests enjoyed pimms and cream teas, we captured some images of special guests including Lisa’s bridesmaid and Jonny’s parents.
We then took Lisa and Jonny for a walk around the grounds in order to capture some images of just the two of them.
The marquee where the wedding breakfast was to be held had been set up beautifully, including a fabulous cricket themed table plan which had been handmade by the bride and groom.
After the newly-weds had entered the marquee to cheers and applause from their guests, it was time for the speeches.
Well fed and entertained by the speeches, the wedding guests moved back into the main hall to watch Lisa and Jonny’s first dance.
It was a very special wedding and we were over the moon to get a lovely thank you card from Lisa and Jonny after they had received their images. It read: “Words will never express just how much we wish to thank you both for everything! The photos are just stunning and we enjoy looking at them regularly. You both have so much talent, something that is commented on by everyone who sees your photographs. You really have captured all the little details of the day. Thank you for all the time, effort and kindness you put into the photos. It shines through and we will always look on them with very large smiles.”
