Olwyn and Peter’s wedding was held at Holy Trinity Church in Gateshead, followed by a reception at the Gosforth Park Marriott.
We had our first taste of how lovely a wedding this was going to be when we arrived at the church to find that their amazing work colleagues has lent the couple their Mercedes to use as the wedding cars, and good friends of theirs had donned chauffeurs hats and glasses in order to transport the couple in style.
Olwyn and Peter are both from Northern Ireland and there were lots of guests who had travelled from there and further afield to be at the wedding.
Peter looked impressively relaxed before the ceremony.
Olwyn and her father arriving.
I love seeing (and capturing) the reactions to the first look at the bride.
The ceremony was lovely and full of meaning.
The couple walked back down the aisle with massive smiles and received congratulations from their families and friends.
Then it was off to the Marriott in Gosforth Park for the wedding reception.
There are some beautiful woods adjoining the hotel grounds so we sneaked off with Olywn and Peter to take a few photographs there.
Back in the hotel grounds, we captured some images of the couple with key guests, including their parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Inside the hotel, the wedding breakfast room looked great, as did the cupcake tower.
The speeches were great.
Olwyn and Peter had booked our six hour wedding photography package and so, after the speeches, we congratulated them again and left them to enjoy their meal and evening celebrations. It was a real pleasure to photograph Olwyn and Peter’s wedding for them and we wish them a long and happy future together.
