Lumley Castle Hotel near Chester-le-Street in County Durham is a very special place. It provides a great setting for weddings and so we were really excited when Rodica and Nick booked us to photograph their summer wedding there.
The couple decided to spend the morning together before their ceremony and arrived at the Castle in a stunning Beauford car.
Before their guests arrived, we captured some photographs of the two of them.
They were so happy and excited about their imminent wedding ceremony and were a delight to spend time with.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Scarborough State Room. After Nick and the wedding guests had all made their way there, Rodica and her father entered.
The ceremony was lovely.
After the ceremony, we all headed outside into the sunshine. Mark and I captured key group photographs for Rodica and Nick including one of them with all their wedding guests.
Rodica and her parents.
Then Rodica and Nick chose to sneak off with us to capture a few more photographs of the two of them.
Rodica and Nick had chosen the Northumbria State Room for their wedding breakfast.
The receiving line.
After the newlyweds and guests were seated for their meal, we left them to enjoy the rest of their lovely wedding celebrations. Rodica and Nick are a great, fun couple and we loved being able to photograph their wedding for them. We received a lovely message from Rodica the next day saying “We loved having you there and are very grateful for everything.” And after giving them their photographs, we were delighted to get another message saying “Thank you so much to both of you for such lovely photographs! You made it all seem so relaxing and enjoyable and it’s reflected in the photos!”
